Restore your confidence. Your vagina has a profound impact on your psyche and emotional well being and can create concerns during intimacy. Vaginal rejuvenation can help. The labia majora is uniquely shaped in all women and enlargement can occur in childhood or later in life after childbirth. In addition to impacting your confidence, large labia can be noticeable in clothes, bathing suits and can even cause functional impairment and pain during intercourse.
A labiaplasty allows for a rejuvenation of the labia minora with little to no scarring. This procedure is typically done in the operating room in order to ensure sterility and patient comfort.
Recovery after Labiaplasty
We recommend taking it easy after surgery. Lying down and short walks can help improve healing and shorten the duration of swelling. We also recommend keeping the area dry during the initial healing. Showering is ok on day 2 after surgery. Submerging incisions or perspiration can weaken the incisions during the early phases of healing so avoid bath tubs and swimming pools.
We also recommend avoiding intercourse for 6 weeks after surgery to ensure that the new incisions have reached their maximum strength. Scar tissue will continue to improve up to 1 year after surgery and the scars all but fade completely.
